Welcome to Synic. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Synic mobile application (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Use of the App
- You may use the App only for lawful personal, non-commercial purposes.
- All content, files, and settings are managed locally or via your chosen cloud provider.
- You are responsible for complying with the terms of any third-party services you connect (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, Box).
2. User Content
All media files you play, import, or manage through Synic remain your property. We do not host, modify, or share your content. The App does not upload personal content to external servers under any circumstance.
3. Third-Party Services
Synic integrates with third-party cloud services to allow you to import and manage your personal music files. These services include:
a. Google Drive
- Authenticated via GoogleSignIn and ASWebAuthenticationSession.
- Synic uses the
drive.readonly
scope to list and access your files directly within the App interface. - Files are downloaded for offline playback. No files are created, edited, or deleted.
- The App may access your Google account email address to indicate the currently connected account. This information is not transmitted or stored externally.
b. Dropbox
- Integrated via the official Dropbox SDK using OAuth 2.0 authentication.
- Synic allows you to browse your Dropbox files and download selected items.
- No content is uploaded, modified, or removed by the App.
- The App may display your Dropbox account email address locally to identify the connected session. This is not stored or shared externally.
c. Box
- Connected via secure OAuth 2.0 web-based login flow.
- Users can view and download selected files from their Box account for offline use.
- Synic does not alter, upload, or delete any Box content.
- The email associated with your Box account may be accessed and shown locally in the App. This data is not transmitted or stored externally.
All integrations are read-only and initiated solely by the user. Authentication tokens for Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box are securely stored on your device using Apple’s Keychain Services. Synic does not collect, transmit, or process user credentials or personal data on any external server.
Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Synic is not responsible for any data loss, account issues, or service disruptions caused by these providers.
4. In-App Purchases
Synic offers optional Premium features via auto-renewing subscriptions or lifetime purchase. All purchases are processed through Apple’s App Store and governed by Apple’s terms and billing policies.
Subscription Management: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
